Quit Smoking With Us

I rarely write from my personal experience, but these are unique times, so all bets are off.  I started taking CBD in late October 2018.  I have always been physically active, I was that guy who would smoke on his way home from the gym, without shame.  So when I started taking CBD I wasn't aware of how beneficial it would all be for me.  I initially started taking it to help with focus and to increase work productivity.  A few weeks in that happened, and more.  My anxiety levels began dropping.  I was able to focus on what needed to be done and I eventually noticed when I smoked cigarettes I wasn't getting the same relief I was getting before taking CBD.

My daughter was due in April, I had to make a decision, make a change.  I had to quit.  I couldn't smell like an ashtray around her, or the other children I intend to have moving forward.  I also intend on sticking around for a very long time.  It was on December 31, 2017 that I smoked my last cigarette, outside of a Domino's Pizza as I picked up some regrettably delicious food for the celebration.  I kept that pack in my car for another 5 months, a symbolic prisoner that had the tables turned on him for years of holding my lungs hostage with my poor decisions.

In the weeks after I quit, I committed to working out, obsessively.  What I didn't know then was that I was taking a supplement that would combat weight gain, a commonly conjoined cousin to cutting the coffin nails.  CBD can help reduce the production of cortisol, a hormone that does not help when it comes to shredding post quitting pounds.  Additionally, my results in the gym really spoke to the power of CBD.  CBD provides an anti-inflammatory benefit that contributes to quicker recovery between reps, sets and days at the gym.  It also provides an anti catabolic response, which means it slows the breakdown of muscle that is built up over time.

There are many more contributing factors as to why taking a CBD is beneficial when it comes to quitting smoking.  One of the greatest benefits, however, is the absence of building a dependency on CBD.  It is a non habit forming alternative to traditional pharmacological interventions, which means when you're confident with your quit, you can stop taking CBD, if you wish, and continue to live your life smoke free.  I hope this has helped provide you with a new insight to another avenue of help in quitting.  We are here to help you find that freedom that I found and continue to find each and every day.
